Have you ever wondered where our name, True40 Fitness Studio, comes from? It doesn’t mean 40 squats per class or that we don’t tell little white lies here, although we do hit both of those marks ;). Our name is actually derived from our favorite Bible verse:
“But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint”
Isaiah 40:31, NLT
Here’s a little commentary from She Reads Truth: “God has promised to strengthen His people while they wait through the power of His Spirit. I’ve experienced the fatigue that comes from continuing to hope in the Lord—trusting in His promises, but failing to see their tangible manifestation. And while weariness will come, I can testify that the Holy Spirit has always provided me with the supernatural strength to endure.”
This is encouragement that can be used no matter what you’re going through or where you are in life.
When True40 was founded in 2016, no one knew what would come in the next 5 years. There has been great celebration as well as great hardship. No one knew that there would be a global pandemic that would close our doors for 2+ months, but it happened and even when it did, our hope, our trust, and our strength came from the Lord alone.
When our trust is in Him, we will find new strength: one that is not possible alone. We will soar high: surpassing any plan we could’ve made for ourselves. We will run and not grow weary, we will walk and not faint. I love this part because we are a fitness studio. When we are tired, we can do more, but it goes further than just during class. We are all exhausted from the last year and a half, yet the Lord has given us strength to continue on.
No matter what impossible situation we may be in, we are called to wait on the Lord. He will give us what we need!
If you need a little more encouragement today. Go listen to Wait On You by Maverick CIty Music.
“I’m gonna wait on You
I’m gonna wait on You
I’ve tasted Your goodness
I’ll trust in Your promise
That’s what happens when you wait
You get a little stronger”
We constantly say throughout the class “take what your body needs today!”- and what do we mean by that? What we mean by that is to take class at your own pace! If something feels off today, don’t do it! Take the modification. If everything feels amazing today- take...

We’ve all been there. You wake up in the morning and look in the mirror and think, “Why am I so bloated??” Or you’ve eaten pretty healthy that day and still feel like your belly is bigger than it should be. Bloat is no joke. I've dealt with it for the majority of my...
