If you follow us on social media, then you’ve seen our beautiful studios, complete with smiling faces a little too happy to be going to work out, a barre, a massive mirror, and a fiddle leaf fig in the corner for the aesthetic final touch. What goes on in there?? If you’ve done some research, you’ve probably seen this little blurb about our workouts: “True40 classes are a unique mixture of cardio bursts, controlled movements, and dynamic stretching. Each class is designed with you in mind: low-impact and high-powered, welcoming for every BODY. Our certified instructors lead with contagious energy while helping you to deepen your mind-body-spirit connection.” But what does that mean? Let’s break it down part by part and get a grasp on what is so special about True40’s workout.
Full-body workouts for anyone
“A unique mixture of cardio bursts, controlled movements, and dynamic stretching.” Our workout is divided into 6 sections: warm-up, legs, combo work, glutes, core, and yoga. Every class is a full-body workout! Throughout each section, we also incorporate TRX straps, fit balls, weights, and gliders. Even our warm-up starts dynamically. From the beginning, we use aerobic movements that will prepare your body for the next 60 minutes- increasing your heart rate and kick-starting the intensity that will be maintained throughout the class. From there, we head into a mixture of small and large range movements. You feel control in the small range movements, and you’re working your functional muscles and cardiovascular endurance in the large range movements. No matter what section you’re in, you are going to be feeling that #shakesweatburn. Each unique workout from our full-body fusion program is planned out to work opposing muscle groups, leaving you with a more balanced body. If you are coming to class consistently, you will notice an increase in your leg, arm, and core strength, tightening and lifting in your glutes, and an improvement in your overall posture and balance.
What To Expect
“Each class is designed with you in mind: low-impact and high-powered, welcoming for every BODY.” Low impact, high-powered. It sounds nice, but what does it mean? Low impact means that our class is easy on your body. No matter if you have an injury, you’re pregnant, or just had a baby, or you just haven’t worked out in a long time. Our workout is made with you in mind, formulated to be safe and correct on the body! No matter what posture we are working in, there is always a modification and a challenge. Now that we covered low-impact, high-powered is the fun part! Through our combination of small and large range movements and cardio blasts that we talked about earlier, your heart rate will stay lifted throughout the class! My personal favorite is when you (quickly) find your “shaking point,” which is where your muscles quiver when combining small movements and isometric holds in postures. Shaking means that your muscles are changing, building both elasticity and strength. We pride ourselves on having a scientifically sound workout, created using exercise science research and endorsed by physical therapists, that can be done by anyone of any fitness level or altered for any injury.

Our instructors go through challenging training with an emphasis on anatomical and physiological knowledge, musicality, and lots of practice! We strive to help you create awareness in your body, find control in your movements and achieve a greater mind-body connection. Our instructors will make sure you are protecting your body, always offering a modification and keeping an eye on your form throughout the class. They are your personal hype people and will constantly be cheering you on!
