Our method combines principles of strength training, cardio, barre, Pilates, and yoga. As our inspiring community expands through Alabama and beyond, True40® Studio encourages and empowers people to move true to their bodies, and ultimately step into their highest, truest selves.

Starting at a new fitness studio can feel intimidating, but here’s the best news: at True40, there’s no dress code. Whether you’re coming to your first class or you’re a regular, our philosophy is simple—wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and ready to move.
Leggings and a tank top? Perfect. Shorts and an oversized tee? Absolutely. That colorful matching set you’ve been wanting to try? We’re here for it. Unlike some boutique fitness studios where you feel out of place if you’re not in all-black attire or a specific brand, we believe your workout gear should reflect your personal style and comfort level.
While we’re flexible on everything else, we do require sticky socks for all classes. These grippy-bottom socks are essential for:
Don’t have sticky socks yet? No problem. Every True40 studio has an in-studio boutique that carries a variety of styles and colors, so you can grab a pair before your first class. We even carry them in our online shop.
While there’s no uniform at True40, here’s what you’ll typically see in our studios:
Bottoms: High-waisted leggings, bike shorts, or joggers are popular choices.
Tops: Sports bras, fitted tanks, or breathable t-shirts work great. Since our signature high intensity-low impact format involves a lot of movement, most people opt for tops that won’t ride up or get in the way.
Sports Bras: Medium to high support is recommended, especially for our cardio portions.
Part of what makes the True40 community special is our carefully curated in-studio boutique. Every location carries:
Our instructors and staff can help you find pieces that work for your body and your workout style—no pressure, just friendly guidance.
Water bottle: Stay hydrated throughout class
Hair ties: Keep hair secure during movement
Towel: Optional, but helpful for cardio portions
Positive attitude: The most important thing you’ll wear
The hardest part about starting at a new studio is walking through the door that first time. At True40, we’ve removed every barrier we can—including worrying about what to wear. Come as you are, grab some sticky socks from our boutique if needed, and get ready to experience a judgment-free fitness experience where everyone belongs.
